Young Investors Society is proud to announce our newest member of the West Coast Advisory Board, Amobi Okugo!
Amobi is a professional soccer player and entrepreneur. He is the founder of A Frugal Athlete, an online media platform that promotes prudent financial practices and smart career decisions amongst professional and student-athletes. He is also the founder of The Ok U Go foundation, a nonprofit that provides resources to children from low-income backgrounds through financial, athletic, and social programs.
Amobi Okugo is a first-generation Nigerian-American from California and the oldest of four siblings. He currently resides in Austin, TX. and Sacramento, CA. In his off-time he loves time with family and friends, flying his drone, and hosting trivia nights.
We are excited to have Amobi join our group and further our mission of inspiring youth to be outstanding investors-investors in companies, investors in their communities, and investors in themselves.
