Global Youth Investment Summit

(Formerly Global Stock Pitch Competition)

YIS’ annual flagship event is the Global Youth Investment Summit (Formerly Global Stock Pitch Competition).

This competition is the culmination of investment skills gained during the year and provides High School students hands-on mentoring in financial analysis. Students (either individually or in teams of two) create a “best stock idea” and analyze a publicly-traded company–sometimes meeting with company management. Each student/team writes a report on their chosen company with a “Buy” or “Sell” recommendation and then presents and defends their analysis in a written report and brief to a panel of industry professionals.

How it Works (Updated for 2023-2024)

All State/Territory events will be judged via YouTube video submission of the student’s presentation. State/Territory events will be listed on the MYYIS Calendar. If a States/Territory is not listed students can register for the U.S. OPEN Stock Pitch Competition. Students that do not register for the correct event will be placed in the event for their state. YIS reserves the right to place students in the events that it deems appropriate.

State/Territory winners will be invited to participate in person at the Global Youth Investment Summit (a 2-day event) filled with workshops, speakers, finance games, case study competition and so much more!
