The Young Investors Society Ask the Expert is a new monthly series designed to connect students with experienced finance professionals for timely, real-world conversations on investing, market dynamics, and how industry practitioners navigate real-world decision-making and challenges.

 

Sessions will explore topics such as what really moves the market, how professionals analyze a stock, and risk management strategies for young investors.

 

Each event will feature an expert-led discussion followed by an interactive Q&A, giving students the opportunity to ask questions, gain practical insights, and strengthen their understanding of how investing works in practice.

 

 

Interested in taking on a leadership role with Young Investors Society? Join our Student Advisory Board Info Session to learn how you can get involved and make an impact across YIS programs throughout the year.

We’re looking for motivated students who can collaborate with peers on subcommittees and projects, teach YIS lessons, share information within their clubs, provide thoughtful feedback on programs, and attend all YIS virtual events, including quarterly meetings. This is a great opportunity to build leadership skills while contributing to a global student community passionate about investing and financial education.

We are currently seeking applicants for the following positions: President, Vice Presidents, Secretary, and Members-At-Large

Please note: Students must have served at least one year as a Member-at-Large to be eligible for nomination to an elected officer position, unless otherwise appointed. Priority for elected officer positions will be given to students who have earned the CYIA designation.

During the session, we’ll walk through roles and responsibilities, the nomination process, and what to expect as a Student Advisory Board Member.
