Finance Knowledge Bowl

Put your financial skills to the test in the YIS Knowledge Bowl—a virtual competition where students showcase their personal finance and investment knowledge.

Competition Details:

• 🗓 First Round: Online from January 15th–22nd on Kahoot

• ✅ Students must be registered YIS members to participate

• ⏳ You have one week to complete the Knowledge Bowl Finance Quiz (Jan. 15–22)

• 🔒 Each student may only submit the quiz once (multiple entries will not be counted)

• 📝 Students must use their full first and last name when completing the quiz (no nicknames or abbreviations)

Knowledge Bowl Finals

Students will be invited to the Finals Round of the Knowledge Bowl based on:

• Their first-round score

• Completion of YIS courses & lessons

• Participation in YIS programs & events such as Dollar-A-Day, CYIA, Fireside Chats, etc. 

• Availability to attend the Finals

Finals Details:

• 📊 The Finals will feature questions on three selected companies in the  Sneakers, Fashion, and Consumer Brands space. (NIKE/LULULEMON/GAP)

• 📅 Date: Thursday, January 29, 2026

• ⏰ Time: 4:00 PM PST | 7:00 PM EST

• 📍 Location: Zoom

• 🎥 The event will also be recorded and uploaded to the YIS YouTube Channel for everyone to watch!

What to Expect:

• Approximately 20 multiple-choice questions about the three featured companies

• Questions will focus on company performance, strategies, and progress

• The Finals are open book, but preparation is highly recommended

How to Prepare (3–5 hours recommended study time):
