Young Investors Society (YIS) offers a robust suite of programs designed to equip students with essential financial knowledge, practical investing skills, and real-world experience, empowering them to take control of their financial futures.
Money Skillz Bootcamp: A 10-hour, self-paced course designed for students in grades 7–9, with a strong focus on personal finance. The program introduces essential financial skills such as budgeting, saving, banking, credit, and goal-setting, building a solid foundation for financial literacy and responsible money management.
School-Sponsored Clubs: Student-led clubs where students learn and teach financial literacy and investing through YIS programs, fostering real-world skills in a collaborative setting.
Dollar-a-Day Challenge: The Dollar-A-Day Challenge promotes lifelong saving by encouraging students to invest $1 a day, teaching compound interest and consistency, with monthly scholarship matches for select participants.
Stock Pitch Competition: The YIS Stock Pitch Competition challenges students to research and analyze a publicly traded company, then present a recommendation to a panel of industry professionals. It helps students develop critical thinking, financial analysis, and presentation skills.
Knowledge Bowl: The YIS Finance Knowledge Bowl is a virtual competition where high school students test and apply their personal finance and investing knowledge in a fun, competitive format.
YIS Fireside Chats: YIS Fireside Chats are virtual events where finance professionals share career insights and advice with high school students, offering valuable Q&A opportunities to learn about financial careers and investing.
Global Youth Investment Summit: An annual event where high school students worldwide showcase their financial knowledge, engage in investment challenges, and connect with peers and industry professionals, promoting leadership, collaboration, and real-world financial skills.
Certified Young Investment Analyst (CYIA®) Designation: The YIS CYIA Designation recognizes students who excel in finance through coursework, exams, community service, and interviews, highlighting their expertise in investment analysis and financial literacy. It is the highest achievement in YIS.
